I'd wear something more comfortable for that trip than the tailored pieces I normally wear every day.
But, jeans and a Tshirt are not my only option. I also want something that can hold passports, boarding passes, etc. without having to reach for my back pocket.

You could substitute Incotex shorts for the shorts and my navy-suede jacket for the linen blouse for an Autumn/Winter equivalent.
For cold flights, I'll often keep a piece of mid-weight knitwear in my hand luggage. The jacket would not be worn on the plane.

One suit

This suit will be usually navy or grey and will be paired with other items.
A three-way suit like my Pirozzi Corduroy would look great in one direction, since the jacket and trousers can be worn separately with the right partners or together as a complete suit.
These three-way suits are usually made of casual fabrics like cotton and don't meet my formality requirements. A navy suit or heavy hopsack would be an exception.

Two jacket/trouser combinations

It is a plus if the two can be swapped or used together.
Like all pieces that are taken on a trip there is an urge for the most versatile and functional pieces. Here are some examples:

These four pieces have the advantage of being able to be worn together. If this seems excessive in terms of versatility, you can always wear one jacket, such as the Liverano purple Flannel.
Also, cream is one of the most versatile trousers you can get.
Problem is, cream trousers may not be appropriate for every season and destination. Bring them if they're needed in a specific case.

Tovoid boring things, I like to mix up the materials (eg cotton/linen) and design (eg a long-sleeved Polo shirt for a tieless day instead of a button down shirt).
The shirt collars should be able to be worn with or without a tie, as they are most often now.
A navy and black large knot grenadine are my favorite travel ties. To avoid being boring, I'd add a few more options to spice it up - like my dusty-orange Mattabisch.
Two handkerchiefs are always my go-to: one white and one dark.
There is also a brighter option, eg yellow or cream from Rubinacci.

Shoes and everything else

They can be either medium- or light browns. However, it is helpful if they can be worn with several pairs of trousers.
